Damn Good recently undertook a major build on behalf of SMMT at the inaugural Automechanika event at the NEC, Birmingham. The launch of Automechanika Birmingham, attracted over 12,000 trade visitors and 600 market leading exhibitors. In a significant boost to the UK’s automotive component and supply chain, SMMT joined forces with Messe Frankfurt to launch the UK’s first automotive trade show. The show was for automotive suppliers and aftermarket firms seeking to attract new business from overseas, as well as exploiting the opportunities emerging from the expanding domestic production base. Damn Good undertook the design, manage, make and install of a 154 sq m stand environment, including suspended banners and an 11m x 3m feature area. Damn Good also undertook the management and production of 11 plinths for UK manufactured components which were showcased at the event. Automechanika Birmingham 2017 will be twice the size of the 2016 show, with an improved format. Situated in a new home in Halls 6 & 17-20 with over 1000 exhibitors, 2017 will also include a dedicated Supply Chain Zone.
